Value-based living

Our values act as a kind of compass for who we are, how we act, and where we want to go in life. If we possess a clear sense of purpose and direction, and act according to our values, then we are less likely to be knocked off course when we experience challenging situations and are better equipped to navigate the storms faced in life.

The 'Wellbeing & Resilience Workshop' is designed and delivered by Clinical & Educational Psychologists from Windmill Psychology, registered by the Health and Care Professional Council. The workshop is based in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, an evidence-based therapuetic model.

Our specially designed workshop helps to create a positive space for reflection. Wellbeing and resilience are bolstered when we are acting according to our values, giving us a sense of direction and purpose. Our psychologists support the group by helping people identify and connect with personal values and uncover shared values within their community. Being aware of and connected to personal values and strengths helps people to be better equipped for the challenges they face.

What to expect

The day begins by participants' exploring and identifying their individual values, while supporting connection through the group's shared values.

Once participants have identified their values, as a group we will consider the barriers to living a value-orientated life and explore how we might overcome them.

Lunch is provided on the day, but please let us know of any dietary requirements.
